Anti-Cheat Comparison: EAC vs BattlEye
Anti-cheat comparison for 2026: EAC vs BattlEye vs Vanguard vs RICOCHET and 8 more engines, with developer, kernel access, ban type and cross-game reach
Black Desert Online combines Xigncode3 reads with GM checks. TraceX Spoofer permanently rewrites the supported HWID profile once, then you delete it.
Free diagnostic
A Pearl Abyss "Permanent Restriction" notice confirms account enforcement; suspect a hardware restriction only when the device is also restricted, while Xigncode code `0xE0191009` is an update error rather than a ban message.
Hardware Coverage
Black Desert Online's anti-cheat silently reads dozens of hardware identifiers from your PC while it's running — long before you reach a match. Learn how Xigncode3 works in Black Desert Online and why it's difficult to bypass without a spoofer. Below is a sample of the identifiers being tracked.
| Hardware Identifier | Black Desert Online Tracks | TraceX Rewrites |
|---|---|---|
| CPU / Platform ID | Yes | Yes |
| SMBIOS Board Serial / System UUID | Yes | Yes |
| GPU Adapter Identifier | Yes | Yes |
| Disk + Volume Serials | Yes | Yes |
| Physical NIC MAC Address | Yes | Yes |
| Windows MachineGuid | Yes | Yes |
Reality Check
And when they're denied — which is almost always for HWID bans — your hardware stays permanently blacklisted. No second chances.
“Hardware Restriction.”
Pearl Abyss — Black Desert Operational Policy (effective June 5, 2025; "Hardware Restriction" listed as an enforcement mechanism alongside Suspension, Termination, Recovery of Items, etc.)
Why You Need This
You finish an Arena of Solare session, park your character in Marni's Realm, and the Black Desert launcher later refuses access. Read the notice before calling it an HWID ban. Xigncode code `0xE0191009` means its update failed or was blocked by storage, firewall, or antivirus conditions; it is not a hardware-ban message. A Pearl Abyss restriction is different. The hardware question becomes credible only when the device is also restricted, because changing a Family name, Steam login, or client install does not change the PC underneath it.
Black Desert PC uses two related layers: Xigncode3 detects prohibited software around the running client, while Pearl Abyss decides the restriction attached to the account, IP, or hardware. Pearl Abyss's January 15, 2024 Security Module Change Notice said the upgraded Xigncode3 would take effect on January 17, start when Black Desert launches, operate locally, send detection data when unauthorized programs are found, and shut down with the game. Pearl Abyss's Operational Policy separately permits hardware restriction when a specific device is repeatedly tied to unauthorized-program use. That is why an Xigncode launch fault, a permanent account restriction, and a hardware restriction should not be treated as the same event.
A hardware profile is a set of surfaces from different Windows layers, not one magic HWID. SMBIOS Type 2 exposes the baseboard serial, while SMBIOS Type 1 exposes the system UUID often called the motherboard UUID. A drive's device serial can be returned through storage IOCTL queries; a filesystem volume serial is separate metadata. Physical network adapters expose MAC addresses, and Windows stores `MachineGuid` under `HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography`. The TPM 2.0 endorsement key is hardware-rooted, while Secure Boot state describes platform integrity rather than another serial. Wellbia's public Xigncode3 agreement confirms system monitoring and recording of illegal-activity-related data, but neither Wellbia nor Pearl Abyss publishes BDO's complete identifier list, matching weights, or a statement that TPM or Secure Boot is a BDO ban key. A Windows format may rotate MachineGuid and volume metadata while leaving SMBIOS, drive-firmware, NIC, and TPM-rooted surfaces intact.
Xigncode3 is also licensed to other games, so the same stable Windows surfaces can be visible when another title runs the engine. That creates cross-game fingerprint exposure, not an automatic shared ban: each publisher controls its own sanctions. A temporary session spoof presents alternate values only while its driver or service is active and the old profile can return after reboot. TraceX Spoofer performs a one-time, permanent rewrite of its supported SMBIOS, storage, network, and Windows identifiers. Run TraceX once, then delete the tool. The rewrite does not restore the restricted Pearl Abyss account, and no static page can promise how a future Xigncode3 build will weigh each signal.

Pearl Abyss's Black Desert Asia Security Module Change Notice, published January 15, 2024, said the upgraded Xigncode3 would be implemented on January 17. The same notice says it starts with Black Desert, operates locally, sends detection data when unauthorized programs are detected, and shuts down with the game. Why TraceX
You shouldn't need to replace your PC to play Black Desert Online again. That's why TraceX exists.
Run TraceX once before opening Black Desert Online through Black Desert launcher (standalone or opened through Steam). The rewrite persists, so you can delete the tool before Xigncode3 starts.
Black Desert Online's hardware ban (hwid) is tied to the profile Xigncode3 reads. Rewritten identifiers persist across reboots without a TraceX daemon.
For Black Desert Online, the documented Xigncode3 coverage includes CPU / Platform ID, SMBIOS Board Serial / System UUID, GPU Adapter Identifier. TraceX rewrites the supported fields in one pass.
Black Desert Online launches from Black Desert launcher (standalone or opened through Steam) after the rewrite is complete. No TraceX process remains during Xigncode3 gameplay to consume resources.
Black Desert Online's hardware ban (hwid) details stay separate from the current Xigncode3 status, so a game update is never treated as unchanged by default.
When you open Black Desert Online with Pearl Abyss account + Steam linkage on PC, Xigncode3 reads the supported identifiers produced by the completed permanent rewrite.
Setup Guide
Getting around a Black Desert Online HWID ban used to take hours — reinstalling Windows, flashing BIOS, wiping drivers, re-downloading everything, and praying it worked. One wrong step meant starting over and burning another account. With TraceX, a single click does more than all of that combined.

Detection Analysis
Xigncode3 can combine identifiers from your PC into a hardware profile for Black Desert Online. TraceX rewrites the supported fields shown below before the game runs.
When you launch Black Desert Online, your real hardware IDs are scanned and matched against ban records. Every new account on a flagged PC is blocked.
Black Desert Online sees a completely new machine with no ban history. New account, clean hardware — access granted.

All of these games use Xigncode3 — the same anti-cheat that banned you in Black Desert Online. One permanent TraceX rewrite covers every one of them.
FAQ
Pearl Abyss can apply both. Its Operational Policy lists account restrictions and "Hardware Restriction" as separate enforcement measures, and its NA/EU policy explanation says a specific device repeatedly used with unauthorized programs may be restricted. That does not prove every permanent account ban includes the PC. The exact notice and any response from Pearl Abyss Support are stronger evidence than a failed login by itself.
No. The published wording for `0xE0191009` says Xigncode failed to update because of storage space or firewall or antivirus blocking. That is a client or security-module problem, not a hardware-restriction notice. Repair the launcher path and security-software conflict first. A sanction is identified by Pearl Abyss restriction wording or Support confirmation, not by treating every Xigncode startup code as an HWID match.
Wellbia confirms that Xigncode3 monitors the system and records illegal-activity-related data, but it does not publish BDO's field list. Relevant Windows surfaces include the SMBIOS Type 2 baseboard serial, SMBIOS system UUID, drive serials returned through storage IOCTLs, volume serials, physical NIC MAC addresses, and `MachineGuid` under `HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography`. TPM endorsement-key and Secure Boot use are not publicly confirmed for BDO.
Reinstalling Black Desert can repair client or Xigncode files, but it cannot reverse a server-side Pearl Abyss restriction. Formatting Windows may regenerate `MachineGuid` and filesystem volume metadata. It normally leaves the SMBIOS board serial, system UUID, drive-firmware serials, physical adapter identity, and TPM-rooted data intact. Because Pearl Abyss does not publish its matching formula, a clean install is not a guaranteed machine-identity reset.
A different login changes the account, not the hardware under the Black Desert launcher. Pearl Abyss's published policy allows hardware restriction when a specific device is repeatedly associated with unauthorized-program use, so an account swap cannot resolve a confirmed device restriction. It also does not prove that every new account will be banned, because account and hardware measures are separate. Appeal a disputed sanction instead of burning accounts as tests.
Pearl Abyss publishes temporary and permanent account penalties, but its public policy does not give one universal number of days or months for the hardware-restriction measure. Do not infer the device term from a permanent account notice or a seller's fixed-duration claim. If the restriction notice does not specify scope or duration, Pearl Abyss Support is the only authoritative place to ask what was applied to that account and PC.
Yes. Pearl Abyss's restriction bulletins direct players who want to appeal an account restriction to Support. Include the exact launcher or in-game notice, restriction date, region, account or Family name, and any Xigncode error code. Keep a client fault such as `0xE0191009` separate from the appeal, because it can be a software-update problem. An appeal is review, not a guaranteed reversal, and it is the correct route for a mistaken sanction.
Not automatically. The same Xigncode3 engine can encounter the same stable Windows identity surfaces when another protected game runs, creating cross-game fingerprint exposure. The sanction itself remains a publisher decision, and Pearl Abyss's policy governs Black Desert rather than another studio's accounts. A BDO hardware restriction is therefore a reason to understand the shared machine profile, not evidence that another Xigncode3 publisher already banned you.
A temporary session tool presents alternate identifiers only while its driver or service is active, so the original profile can return after reboot and the tool must run again. TraceX Spoofer permanently rewrites its supported identifier set in a one-time setup. Run TraceX once, then delete the tool; no session process needs to remain during Black Desert. The rewrite does not restore a restricted Pearl Abyss account or guarantee future compatibility after Xigncode3 changes.
