Anti-cheat comparison for 2026: EAC vs BattlEye vs Vanguard vs RICOCHET and 8 more engines, with developer, kernel access, ban type and cross-game reach
TraceX Spoofer is a free permanent GTA FiveM HWID spoofer for global Cfx.re and server ban links. Rewrite the PC profile once, then delete the tool.
Free diagnostic
A Cfx.re global ban appears before any server join as "Your machine/OS installation has been globally banned from FiveM by an automated system," while a community-server ban appears as that server's own connection rejection or kick reason.
Hardware Coverage
GTA FiveM's anti-cheat silently reads dozens of hardware identifiers from your PC while it's running — long before you reach a match. Below is a sample of the identifiers being tracked.
| Hardware Identifier | GTA FiveM Tracks | TraceX Rewrites |
|---|---|---|
| CPU / CPUID Profile | Yes | Yes |
| SMBIOS Type 2 / Board UUID | Yes | Yes |
| GPU Device Identifier | Yes | Yes |
| Disk & Volume Serials | Yes | Yes |
| Physical NIC MAC Addresses | Yes | Yes |
| Windows Machine GUID | Yes | Yes |
Reality Check
And when they're denied — which is almost always for HWID bans — your hardware stays permanently blacklisted. No second chances.
“Global ban lists. We have no way to verify the quality of every anticheat, and it may very well be possible for a global ban list to ban players without good reason. With global ban lists, this impacts the overall gameplay experience of FiveM, as players are unable to join a large number of servers without sufficient reason.”
Cfx.re — official FiveM Documentation, Resource FAQ ("What are disallowed resources?")
Why You Need This
You clear a whitelist, sit through the FiveM server queue, and lose the connection before character select: "Your machine/OS installation has been globally banned from FiveM by an automated system." A new Rockstar login and another GTA V install feel like obvious fixes, yet neither tells you which layer blocked you. Cfx.re can issue a platform-wide global ban, while txAdmin or a server resource can enforce its own ban from Cfx account identifiers and server-specific player tokens. The difference decides whether every FiveM server, one community, or the linked FiveM/RedM account is affected.
FiveM has two ban layers, and mixing them creates bad diagnosis. Cfx.re's global anti-cheat runs at platform level: its official 2025 ban FAQ says an associated account detected for violative client injection is banned from both FiveM and RedM. That is the real cross-game blast radius, not GTA Online or every Rockstar title. A community-server ban is separate. At `playerConnecting`, server owners can read `steam`, `discord`, `license`, `license2`, `fivem`, and `ip`; `license` and `license2` are Rockstar Online Services hashes, while `fivem` is the Cfx user ID. They can also compare opaque `GET_PLAYER_TOKEN` values, which Cfx documents as server-specific and suitable for strengthening ban logic.
Cfx.re does not publish the raw inputs behind its global-ban tokens or their weighting. That limit matters: server resources receive the documented account and network identifiers plus opaque tokens, not a public field named motherboard serial. Machine-level collection surfaces that can persist through account or game reinstalls include the SMBIOS Type 2 baseboard serial, motherboard UUID, physical disk serials returned through storage IOCTLs, filesystem volume serials, physical NIC MAC addresses, and `MachineGuid` under `HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography`. TPM 2.0 endorsement-key material and Secure Boot state can provide hardware-rooted identity or platform-trust signals, but no first-party Cfx source confirms that FiveM uses either one for ban matching. Anyone presenting that list as Cfx.re's published fingerprint is guessing.
TraceX Spoofer rewrites the supported machine-level identifiers as one coherent, permanent profile. Complete the one-time setup, run TraceX once, then delete the tool. A temporary session spoofer presents substitute values only while its process or driver is active and usually needs another run after reboot; TraceX leaves the supported rewritten values in place without a resident process. This addresses the machine-side part of matching. It does not change Cfx identifiers such as `license`, `license2`, or `fivem`, erase a community server's ban database, restore a banned account, or replace the official appeal route. Classify the ban layer first instead of assuming every FiveM kick is an HWID ban.
Verified
Cfx.re's official "FiveM/RedM Community Server Ban FAQ," updated December 15, 2025, says its automated anti-cheat detects violative external programs that inject information into either client and that the linked account is banned from both FiveM and RedM. That is first-party confirmation of the actual cross-game scope.
Why TraceX
You shouldn't need to replace your PC to play GTA FiveM again. That's why TraceX exists.
Run TraceX once before opening GTA FiveM through FiveM client + Rockstar Games Launcher. The rewrite persists, so you can delete the tool before FiveM Anti-Cheat starts.
GTA FiveM's hardware ban (hwid) is tied to the profile FiveM Anti-Cheat reads. Rewritten identifiers persist across reboots without a TraceX daemon.
For GTA FiveM, the documented FiveM Anti-Cheat coverage includes CPU / CPUID Profile, SMBIOS Type 2 / Board UUID, GPU Device Identifier. TraceX rewrites the supported fields in one pass.
GTA FiveM launches from FiveM client + Rockstar Games Launcher after the rewrite is complete. No TraceX process remains during FiveM Anti-Cheat gameplay to consume resources.
GTA FiveM's hardware ban (hwid) details stay separate from the current FiveM Anti-Cheat status, so a game update is never treated as unchanged by default.
When you open GTA FiveM with Cfx.re account + a legitimate GTA V entitlement (Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, or Epic Games), FiveM Anti-Cheat reads the supported identifiers produced by the completed permanent rewrite.
Setup Guide
Getting around a GTA FiveM HWID ban used to take hours — reinstalling Windows, flashing BIOS, wiping drivers, re-downloading everything, and praying it worked. One wrong step meant starting over and burning another account. With TraceX, a single click does more than all of that combined.

Detection Analysis
FiveM Anti-Cheat can combine identifiers from your PC into a hardware profile for GTA FiveM. TraceX rewrites the supported fields shown below before the game runs.
When you launch GTA FiveM, your real hardware IDs are scanned and matched against ban records. Every new account on a flagged PC is blocked.
GTA FiveM sees a completely new machine with no ban history. New account, clean hardware — access granted.

FAQ
A Cfx.re global ban blocks the linked account before it can join any FiveM server and shows a global-ban message with a duration. A community-server ban appears only when you connect to that server or its owner's linked servers, usually with an admin-supplied reason. Cfx support also says "Game integrity check failed" is an anti-cheat anomaly that closes the client, not proof of a ban. Test another legitimate server and keep the exact message before deciding which layer acted.
Cfx.re's public API lists `steam`, `discord`, `license`, `license2`, `fivem`, and `ip`. The two license values are Rockstar Online Services hashes, `fivem` is the Cfx user ID, and `license2` can equal `license` for Steam users. A server can also request several opaque player tokens through `GET_PLAYER_TOKEN`; Cfx says those tokens can strengthen banning logic and are specific to that server. The API does not hand resources a documented raw SMBIOS or disk-serial field.
Cfx.re's ban message refers to a machine, OS installation, or token match, but Cfx does not publish the current global fingerprint schema. Relevant host surfaces include the SMBIOS Type 2 baseboard serial, motherboard UUID, physical disk and volume serials, physical NIC MAC addresses, and Windows `MachineGuid`. TPM 2.0 endorsement-key material and Secure Boot state are possible trust surfaces, not confirmed FiveM ban fields. Treat pages claiming an exact Cfx checklist as unverified.
Reinstalling GTA V replaces game files and does not change the identifiers exposed when FiveM connects. Formatting Windows can rotate software-side values such as `MachineGuid` and a filesystem volume serial, but it does not rewrite an SMBIOS Type 2 board serial, motherboard UUID, physical drive firmware serial, physical NIC MAC, or TPM-rooted key material. It also cannot remove `license`, `fivem`, or server-token matches already stored in a server's ban record.
Changing an account rotates only part of the connection profile. A server can compare the new login against Rockstar Online Services hashes, the Cfx user ID, IP, and its own opaque player tokens; Cfx.re's global system separately controls the platform-wide ban. None of that proves one motherboard field caused the match, because Cfx does not publish token inputs. A new account also does not restore the old account or make ban evasion acceptable under the platform's rules.
A VPN changes the public IP that appears in FiveM's documented `ip` identifier. It does not rewrite a Cfx account ID, Rockstar Online Services hash, SMBIOS board value, physical disk serial, physical NIC identity, or Windows `MachineGuid`. If a server banned only an IP, the diagnosis is different from an HWID ban; if it stored account identifiers and server-specific tokens too, changing the route leaves those matches intact. Use the exact kick reason to separate the two.
Cfx.re's official December 2025 ban FAQ says the account linked to detected client injection is banned from both FiveM and RedM. That is a real cross-game scope inside the Cfx.re platform. It does not say the account is automatically banned from GTA Online or every Rockstar title, which use separate services and enforcement. A ban issued by one FiveM community server is narrower still unless the same owner deliberately shares its ban data across its own servers.
For a Cfx.re global ban you can use the official ban-appeal form linked from the FiveM/RedM Community Server Ban FAQ; submitting it does not guarantee reversal. A community-server ban belongs to that server's owner, so use its own appeal process and provide the exact connection reason. Cfx.re's Resource FAQ also says third-party global ban lists are disallowed because their quality cannot be verified. TraceX cannot erase either party's enforcement record or replace an appeal.
There is no trustworthy universal number. Cfx.re's current support FAQ says the global-ban message explains the duration, so use the countdown or sanction notice shown for that case. Community-server bans can be temporary or indefinite according to the server owner's policy. Older forum screenshots show specific timers, but they do not establish a current default for every detection. If no expiry is shown, ask through the appropriate appeal channel instead of assuming a forum-supplied reset date.
A temporary session spoofer substitutes values only while its driver or process is active, so the original profile can return after reboot and the tool must run again. TraceX uses a one-time permanent rewrite for its supported identifier set. Complete setup, run TraceX once, verify the rewritten profile, then delete the tool; no resident daemon or per-boot session remains. This does not change `license`, `license2`, `fivem`, or the ban record held by Cfx.re or a community server.
