Anti-Cheat Comparison: EAC vs BattlEye
Anti-cheat comparison for 2026: EAC vs BattlEye vs Vanguard vs RICOCHET and 8 more engines, with developer, kernel access, ban type and cross-game reach
Hypixel's Watchdog can connect Suspicious Activity across Minecraft accounts and one PC. TraceX Spoofer rewrites that HWID permanently once, then you delete it.
Free diagnostic
If the disconnect screen says "WATCHDOG CHEAT DETECTION" or "Cheating through the use of unfair game advantages," it identifies an account punishment for cheat detection or unfair advantages, not proof that Hypixel read your hardware ID.
Hardware Coverage
HyPixel's anti-cheat silently reads dozens of hardware identifiers from your PC while it's running — long before you reach a match. Below is a sample of the identifiers being tracked.
| Hardware Identifier | HyPixel Tracks | TraceX Rewrites |
|---|---|---|
| CPU / Platform Identifier | — | Yes |
| SMBIOS Type 2 / Board UUID | — | Yes |
| GPU Adapter Identifier | — | Yes |
| Disk / Volume Serial | — | Yes |
| Network Adapter MAC | — | Yes |
| Windows MachineGuid | — | Yes |
Reality Check
And when they're denied — which is almost always for HWID bans — your hardware stays permanently blacklisted. No second chances.
“Disallowed modifications, macros, bug abuse, exploiting, boosting, scripting, or punishment evading.”
Hypixel - Hypixel Server Rules ("Unfair Advantages")
Why You Need This
You open Minecraft Java from the official launcher, select mc.hypixel.net before Bed Wars Doubles, and the disconnect screen says "WATCHDOG CHEAT DETECTION" or "Cheating through the use of unfair game advantages." A clean install and a different Windows profile change nothing, so you start searching for a Hypixel HWID ban. Stop there. Those local changes cannot erase a punishment stored against the Minecraft account. If the notice says "Suspicious Activity" instead, Hypixel treats it as an account-security block, not Watchdog recognizing your motherboard before you reach the SkyBlock hub.
Hypixel's own Watchdog support article gives the crucial answer: Watchdog is entirely server-side and does not access files on your computer. It monitors irregular data from the Minecraft client and improbable gameplay behavior, then records the account for immediate or delayed punishment. A "Suspicious Activity" notice belongs to a different flow. Hypixel describes it as an account-security block caused by unusual activity suggesting compromise, and it must be appealed before the account can return. Neither official article says a fresh Microsoft account is matched to a banned PC through Windows hardware. Calling either notice an HWID ban skips the first diagnostic step: read the exact reason and separate a Watchdog account punishment from a security block.
Real Windows hardware fingerprints have concrete collection surfaces: the SMBIOS Type 2 baseboard serial and motherboard UUID, physical disk and volume serials queried through storage IOCTLs, network-adapter MAC addresses, and MachineGuid under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\MachineGuid. A TPM 2.0 endorsement key and Secure Boot state are separate hardware-rooted trust signals. Hypixel publishes no Watchdog client, kernel driver, or identifier list that reads those values; its support page says the opposite about the architecture. That is why this page marks them as untracked by Watchdog rather than pretending a Minecraft server can query them. The blast radius is also specific: a Hypixel network punishment can cover Bed Wars, SkyWars, SkyBlock, and other modes on that server, but Watchdog is not a shared engine that carries the ban to unrelated Minecraft servers or other games.
For a documented hardware ban in a client-side anti-cheat title, permanent rewrite and temporary session spoof are materially different. A session tool changes selected values only while its process or driver is active and must be run again after reboot. TraceX Spoofer rewrites supported SMBIOS, disk and volume, MAC, and MachineGuid values in one permanent pass. Complete the one-time setup, run TraceX once, then delete the tool; no daemon remains beside the game. That mechanism does not erase a Hypixel account punishment, shorten its displayed duration, or replace the required Suspicious Activity appeal. On Hypixel, use the ban reason to choose the official appeal or account-recovery route instead of cycling hardware tools against a server-side record.
Verified
Hypixel Support updated "About the Hypixel Watchdog System" on April 25, 2025 and answered its own hardware-access question directly: "No, Watchdog is entirely server side." The same article says Watchdog monitors irregularities from a vanilla client or improbable behavior. Source: support.hypixel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360019613300.
Why TraceX
You shouldn't need to replace your PC to play HyPixel again. That's why TraceX exists.
Run TraceX once before opening HyPixel through Minecraft Launcher (Java Edition). The rewrite persists, so you can delete the tool before Watchdog starts.
HyPixel's account / network punishment (not a documented hwid ban) is tied to the profile Watchdog reads. Rewritten identifiers persist across reboots without a TraceX daemon.
For HyPixel, the documented Watchdog coverage includes . TraceX rewrites the supported fields in one pass.
HyPixel launches from Minecraft Launcher (Java Edition) after the rewrite is complete. No TraceX process remains during Watchdog gameplay to consume resources.
HyPixel's account / network punishment (not a documented hwid ban) details stay separate from the current Watchdog status, so a game update is never treated as unchanged by default.
When you open HyPixel with Microsoft account with a Minecraft: Java Edition profile, Watchdog reads the supported identifiers produced by the completed permanent rewrite.
Setup Guide
Getting around a HyPixel HWID ban used to take hours — reinstalling Windows, flashing BIOS, wiping drivers, re-downloading everything, and praying it worked. One wrong step meant starting over and burning another account. With TraceX, a single click does more than all of that combined.
Free download
Submit your email and receive your free TraceX HWID Spoofer license in a few minutes. Run it once on your PC to permanently rewrite the identifiers Watchdog fingerprints, then delete the binary and reinstall HyPixel.
Detection Analysis
Watchdog can combine identifiers from your PC into a hardware profile for HyPixel. TraceX rewrites the supported fields shown below before the game runs.
When you launch HyPixel, your real hardware IDs are scanned and matched against ban records. Every new account on a flagged PC is blocked.
HyPixel sees a completely new machine with no ban history. New account, clean hardware — access granted.

FAQ
Hypixel does not document an HWID-ban system for its Minecraft server. Its official Watchdog article says the anti-cheat is entirely server-side and does not access files on your computer. That architecture can analyze the account's client-to-server data and behavior, but Hypixel has published no hardware-identifier list or client driver. Treat the disconnect notice as an account or network punishment unless Hypixel tells you otherwise.
It means Hypixel attributes the account punishment to Watchdog, its server-side cheat-detection system. Hypixel says Watchdog looks for irregular data from a client, improbable behavior, macros, and AutoClickers, then records the player for immediate or delayed punishment. The text does not prove a motherboard or disk match. Your ban length and reason are the values displayed on the disconnect screen.
Hypixel says this block appears when its systems or moderation team detect unusual activity on the account that suggests compromise. It is an account-security measure, not a published HWID-ban message. Secure the Microsoft account, enable two-factor authentication, and submit the required appeal. After an accepted appeal, Hypixel documents a 14-day recovery period before the block is removed; repeated security incidents can lead to a permanent block.
Hypixel has not published a Watchdog hardware-field list, and its support article says Watchdog is entirely server-side. SMBIOS Type 2 board serials, motherboard UUIDs, disk and volume serials, MAC addresses, MachineGuid, TPM endorsement keys, and Secure Boot state are real local fingerprint surfaces. They are not verified Hypixel inputs. A page claiming Watchdog definitely reads them is supplying evidence Hypixel has not released.
No. Reinstalling Minecraft replaces client files, reinstalling Windows can change some operating-system values, and a new SSD changes one storage identifier. None of those actions deletes the punishment stored against the Minecraft account on Hypixel. They also do not complete the appeal required for a Suspicious Activity block. Start with the exact notice; an account ban and an account-security block have different official routes.
A VPN changes the public IP address; it does not change the Microsoft account or remove Hypixel's server-side punishment record. Hypixel does not document a VPN as a remedy for Watchdog bans or Suspicious Activity blocks. Punishment evading is itself listed under Unfair Advantages. If the issue is a false punishment or compromised account, use the appeal path named on the notice instead of rotating networks.
A temporary spoofer returns replacement hardware values only while its driver or process is active, so the original profile can return after reboot. TraceX Spoofer permanently rewrites supported identifiers in one pass; finish the one-time setup, run TraceX once, then delete the tool. That distinction matters for anti-cheats that document hardware enforcement. It does not remove a Hypixel account ban because Watchdog is server-side.
Hypixel publishes no separate HWID-ban timer because it does not document this enforcement type. The duration of an account punishment appears on the disconnect notice, and Hypixel says severity plus previous infractions affect it. Suspicious Activity follows another process: it requires an approved appeal and then a documented 14-day recovery period. Do not substitute a forum claim about a universal hardware-ban duration for the message on your account.
A launcher brand is not blanket approval for every bundled feature. Hypixel permits categories such as performance, aesthetic, and limited HUD modifications, but says all modifications are used at your own risk. Anything that automates gameplay, including auto or burst clicking, macros, auto-sprint, and aim assists, is disallowed. Features that change how the client communicates with the server are also prohibited, even inside an otherwise familiar client.
Use the Hypixel Forums punishment appeal form and link the affected Minecraft account. Hypixel says each specific punishment receives one appeal; after a decision, no second appeal can be filed for that ban and Support cannot overturn it. A Suspicious Activity block also uses an appeal, but you should secure the Microsoft account first and then complete the recovery period if accepted. Submit only evidence that is accurate and relevant to the displayed reason.
